At Whispas, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This policy explains how you can request the deletion of your personal information from our platform.

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This document outlines what data will be deleted, what may be retained, and how to submit a deletion request.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Personal profile information (name, email, phone number)
  • Profile photos and verification documents
  • Dating requests and relationship posts
  • Confessions, rants, and stories
  • Comments and replies
  • Community subscription data
  • Match history and chat logs
  • Tipping and monetization records
  • All other personal data associated with your account

Data That May Be Retained

In certain circumstances, we may be required to retain some information for legal, regulatory, or operational purposes:

  • Transaction records required for tax and financial compliance
  • Moderation and abuse reports for safety and security purposes
  • Anonymized aggregated data that cannot identify you
  • System logs and audit trails for security and compliance

Any retained data will be securely stored and will not be accessible to the public or used for purposes other than legal compliance and security.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through the following methods:

Method 1: In-App Request

Navigate to your profile settings:

  1. Open the Whispas app
  2. Go to Profile → Settings
  3. Select Privacy & Account
  4. Choose Request Data Deletion
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions

Method 2: Email Request

Send an email to our privacy team at: [email protected]

Please include the following information in your email:

  • Your registered Whispas username or email address
  • A clear statement requesting data deletion
  • Optional: Reason for deletion (helps us improve our services)

Processing Timeline

Step 1: Verification (Within 7 business days)

We will verify your identity and ownership of the account to ensure the security of your data.

Step 2: Initial Deletion (Immediately after verification)

Most of your personal data will be removed immediately after verification. Your account will become inaccessible.

Step 3: Complete Deletion (Within 30 days)

All remaining deletable data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days of your request. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.

Important Information

Permanent Action

Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your data is deleted, you will not be able to recover your content, matches, chat history, or any other information associated with your account.

Active Subscriptions

Please note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. You must cancel your subscription separately before requesting account deletion. Account deletion will not stop billing charges.

Third-Party Services

Some of your information may have been shared with third-party services (such as payment processors). We will request deletion from these services where possible, but you may need to contact them directly.
